JIM’s versatility is further enhanced by the colour range: the four different finishes for the shades can be combined with the three different suspension hook hues as desired. Inspired by the creative circles of the early Twentieth century, JIM is first and foremost a functional lighting object. The different geometric shapes of the lampshades, the contemporary colour palette, and the predisposition for commercial light bulbs make JIM a fully customisable lighting fixture for domestic and contract applications. Distinctive feature: the transparent hook on which the lampshades rest.
Suspended from a self-supporting black cable running through a transparent tinted methacrylate hook, JIM offers a set of four metal shades with different shapes and diameters providing various aesthetics options and light output. A large dome shade with a diameter of 50 cm is available as a single suspension lamp, while the three smaller geometric shades - cylinder, cone and bell - can be suspended individually or in cluster compositions on canopies, or as wall fixtures on single wall brackets.
JIM sheds direct light downwards while indirectly illuminating the hook above the lampshade. This transparent and lightweight hook, a distinctive aesthetic element, houses an E27 socket that allows the use of different light bulbs, thus allowing complete freedom of choice on the type of light. JIM’s versatility is further enhanced by the colour range: the different finishes for the shades can be combined with the three different hook hues as desired, to suit a variety of decorative styles. Irrespective of the aesthetic choices, the light output is always consistent thanks to the white paint on the inner surface of the lampshade.
